MAKE PEACE! NOT WAR


Peace is not the absence of war, It is a continuing struggle to meet each moment with equilibrium of mind ,focused inside. It is both personal worldwide, accompany by LOVE,BEAUTY and TRUTH that makes us all one.

ROOTS OF WAR

The roots of war are too innumerable even to list , let alone discuss intellectually.
War is not something abstract. War is fought between one group of individuals against each other .

The reasons for war are also not abstract . For no one had yet started a war and directed according to logical paradigms, feed and programmed into a computer. It is individuals who decided to declare war. Even if the war is Global ,its origin can be traced down back to the decisions of every individuals or group of people .,let us talk about Global War and War on the level of an individual . And how we will act and start our Journey Towards PEACE.

“ War started because the people of one nation, or at least their leaders have an unmet desires - they are greedy for benefits of wealth ( socio-economic ) greed or power ,or they are angry or hateful ,or any other desires that have been thwarted or because of wounded pride , their sense of selfhood has been damaged . Often times this can also manifests as racial or national arrogance. They wrongly feels that the solution to their predicaments ,which is deep inside their own minds , a matter of attitudes ,can be sought or remedied externally, through the use of Force . That even religions was being use as conduit for destruction rather than as a “ bridge towards human and spiritual salvation “”

The basic ignorance is our failure to understand that the very selfhood ,which is the core of our lives ,which determines the way we perceive the world ,which directs our
Actions for own ease and benefit , is only an illusion .The illusion of the self is the root cause of all our miseries . We want to protect ourselves from dangers of the constant flux of life . We want to evade ourselves from constant change , ‘when nothing in this world is exempt from change. "You either get tired fighting for peace, or you die." - John Lennon


Life is focused on self naturally and tends toward selfishness. Selfishness poisons
Us with earthly desires and greed . And when they are not satisfied we tend to resent and become hateful . These basic human emotion manifest the luminous depths of our inner minds and cut us off from our own instinctive wisdom and compassion , our thinking and actions ,then emanates from deluded and superficial views .

How do we correct our own mental attitudes , how can we free our minds of those strong negative emotions that cause confusion in our thoughts ?
According to the Bodshattva Path:“ We must practice giving as antidote to desire , greed and stinginess , and cravings ; The practice of WISDOM as an antidote for foolishness”
“For even the fool ,when he holdeth his PEACE ,is counted as wise ,and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding “ - Proverbs 17 :28 BIBLE
When individuals minds of all living beings are measured ,if PEACE loving minds are more pre-dominant ,the world will tend to be at Peace ; if radical ,violent thoughts are strongly pre-dominant this world will always at War .

Too Good to be TRUE ,some might assert . But how can such Peace be materialized in this Modern World ? Or this Peace is nothing but just a Fantasy ? …. The answer is “ NO “ .

By constantly being aware of our own thoughts, words and deeds and by the consistency of trying to purify them , We can become “PART of the FORCE TOWARDS PEACE rather than become PART of the Force OF War …’’

No matter how just we feel our cause , no matter how good our intentions and ideas , if they are always accompanied by anger and hate ,they will just generate and attract more anger and hate . When our own thoughts are overflowed with the emotions of WAR no matter how seems noble our cause might be .
World Peace, like community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbour - it requires only that they live together with mutual tolerance, submitting their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement. John F. Kennedy .


We should always remember to be constantly aware of our own mental attitudes. Because if we are not , no matter how hard we stir , we might be caught unguarded in helping to turn up the Flames … the FLAMES of mis-understanding and the FLAMES OF WAR .

Your life and my life flow into each other as wave flows into wave, and unless there is peace and joy and freedom for you, there can be no real peace or joy or freedom for me. To see reality--not as we expect it to be but as it is--is to see that unless we live for each other and in and through each other, we do not really live very satisfactorily; that there can really be life only where there really is, in just this sense, love.
