Upon my bed at night
I sought him whom my soul loves
I sought him but find him not
I called him , but he gave no answer
I will rise now and go about
the city , in the streets , in the square
I will seek him whom my soul loves
I sought him but found him not...
Look! Look! alone again
down in the back of the skull
Imagining and dreaming and beyond the edge of the frame
of darkness , the black night invading
the soot from the candle
darkening the painted room
creeping round the empty space ,writhing the wounded painting
smudging out in the twilight
sharp knife, wound that stabbed you in the groins
so you gasped and gulped the air
tearing your last breath from the staves and part sheets
and you fall into the night
I float on the glassy surface of the still dark lake
lamp black in the night
silent as an echo
a mote in your eyes
you blink and send me spinning swallowed in the vortex
i shoot through the violent depths
in unutterable silence of these water
a tear forms and drops a ripple
spreads out beyond the farthest
horizon,beyond the matter
beyond the constellations and stars
I love you , more than my eyes....
